Outing: Longest Day Nature Outing

June 22, 2019

Event Information:

Celebrate the Summer Solstice with an evening outing to include a bring-your-own picnic, “official opening” of the restored Kinghurst cabin / Information Centre and Cressman Trail, exploration of nearby old fields for grassland birds and insects and a quiet watch by woodland ponds for birds, amphibians, fireflies and, with luck, active beaver.
Meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Kinghurst east parking lot (Harrison Lake) for a short walk to the information centre, fields and ponds. Bring a picnic supper and protection from biting insects.
For information and to register contact Clarke at (519) 363-2719, clarkeb@eastlink.ca.
