Mushrooms and Ferns

September 12, 2026
We practiced identifying ferns using the dichotomous key found in the “Fern Finder”. For mushrooms we learned about the anatomy of these fungi and did our best to identify them with the help of our regional guide books. Allan Park was an excellent area to look for these wonderful treasures of the forest.
