Saugeen Nature is Moving Back to Hanover

For many years, the club enjoyed the use of the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority    facility at the Sulphur Springs Conservation Area. Since the majority of club members live in or near Hanover, this was very convenient. When the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority sold the Sulphur Springs building, we moved our indoor meetings to Formosa because Saugeen Conservation generously allowed us to use that facility for free, while the new owners would have charged us $75 per meeting.
An opportunity came up for us to move back to Hanover for a cost of $25 a meeting, which is much more reasonable. To ensure that this is what the majority of the members preferred, board members surveyed every member of the club. The clear majority have spoken for returning to Hanover, which also allows us to return to our regular meeting date of the third Monday of the month.
Beginning in January 2018, at the January Members Meeting on January 15, 2018, we will be meeting in the Parish Hall of St. James’ Anglican Church on the corner of 7th Avenue and 8th Street, Hanover. It is handicapped accessible with a lift.
If you can, please help us defray the cost of the new venue by throwing an extra looney in the coffee jar at each meeting. Thank you all for your support through this change of venue.
