This year, 2026, marks the second year of the Saugeen Nature Science Fair Award. The Award
recognizes a project at the Intermediate Level (grade 7/8) of the Bluewater Regional Science and
Technology Fair that best portrays investigations into conservation and biodiversity of nature. Thisyear’s recipient is Ariel Patterson of St. Joseph’s School in Port Elgin with her project “Water Sus-
tainability”. A presentation of the trophy (to go on display at the school for one year), a keeperplaque and a cheque for $50 from the Club was made in late May at a student assembly at her
school. Congratulations Ariel!
