Meeting: Climate Change and What you can do

June 15, 2020

Event Information:

Climate change will impact us all, yet the discussion is often side-tracked by vested interests. In this talk, Mike Risk will lead you through the science behind why climate change is under way (irrefutable), the rate at which it is happening (really fast), and why we should do something about it (it’s an existential threat to our species). Along the way, he will teach you how to tell climate lies from climate facts, how to identify the bad actors, and what we can do about this. In short: think globally, act locally, and vote intelligently.

Mike Risk is an earth scientist whose work includes several studies in climate science. Although he is mostly known for his work on coral reefs, his dozen-odd papers in the climate field have been cited hundreds of times.
