Greg and Sibylle Walke have been luthiers – making and restoring violins, violas and cellos in Bruce County since 1987.

Natural materials are still used in all aspects of violin making. The Walkes will reflect on the trees and plants, indigenous and exotic, which are involved in their manufacturing process, whether as building materials, part of the resonance body, as tools or as resins in the coating.

The Walkes share a keen interest in the natural world and are delighted to have opportunities to explore the local environment with Saugeen Nature.
