Join us in Allan Park Conservation Area for this late summer hike where our focus will be on trying to identify the local ferns and mushrooms that we encounter.

We will practice identifying ferns using the dichotomous key found in the “Fern Finder”. For mushrooms we will learn about the anatomy of these fungi and do our best to identify them with the help of our regional guide books. Allan Park is an excellent area to look for these wonderful treasures of the forest.
