Outing: Hike at Kinghurst

January 21, 2017

Event Information:

As stewards of the beautiful forest at Kinghurst, donated to Ontario Nature by the late Krug brothers, our Saugeen Nature club makes regular trips along the trails to monitor the property and to have an idea of what nature is up to at different times of the year. Join Angus Inksetter for a hike in mid-winter when many birds are absent and the trees are bare of leaves to experience the quiet and, we hope, snow-clad landscape when the bones of the property can best be viewed. We will meet at the east end parking lot at 10:00 a.m.and cover as many trails as participants wish to see. There may be hot chocolate in the cabin toward the end of the walk. We will travel by snowshoe if there is ample snow.

Contact Angus at 519 364-3331 to register or visit the web site.
