Outing: Hike to Marshall Woods

September 13, 2022

Event Information:

Rain date: Wednesday, September 14.
We will hike along the Bruce Trail in the Rocklyn Creek Management Area to Marshall Woods, an Old- Growth Forest off the main trail. Bob Knapp of the Owen Sound Field Naturalists will lead the hike.

Meet at 9:30 am by the Bruce Trail along the Saint Vincent Sydenham townline. Parking is on the side of the road and the outing is near Walter’s Falls so Saugeen Nature members will car-pool depending on who signs up.

We will head east from the St. Vincent Townline. Along the way we will see an ancient cedar and some large yellow birch. There are some more challenging sections, so we will allow 3 hours for the hike at an easy pace. Bring water and a snack.

There will be a limit of 10 people for this hike, so sign up early. Register with Nikki May at saugeenfieldnaturalists@yahoo.ca
