Outing: Migrating waterfowl and shorebirds on the Grimston flats

April 27, 2019

Event Information:

The Grey-Bruce line east of Dobbinton is a flat clay plain with extensive flooding in the fields and along the rivers and streams in spring. We will travel north along the line, with numerous stops to view the flooded areas. The eagles’ nest is gone this year but there will be many other birds, and perhaps we will find evidence of a new nest for the eagles.
Meet at the Scone school house at 9:30 a.m.; we will car pool from there. Bring binoculars and a snack, and a spotting scope if you have one.
