Outing: Spring Shore Birds and Ducks on the Grimston Flats

April 22, 2017

Event Information:

In another of the outings we like to undertake regularly we will visit the Grimston Flats east of Dobbinton. This extensive clay plain is flooded every spring by the Sauble River, Grimston Creek, and snow on the fields. In late April there should be lots of puddles left to attract numerous ducks, shore birds, and others.

We will meet at the Scone school house at 9:30 a.m. Bring a lunch, binoculars, and spotting scope. Car-pool from Scone. To register call Angus Inksetter at 519 364-3331 or Jerry Asling at 519 364-2608.
