Outing: Wildflowers and Birds at Moss Lake

May 16, 2015

Event Information:

The outing involves a half hour hike into this northern bog kettle lake along a fence line. Then we will spend an hour walking around the lake, seeking out spring ephemerals and other woodland and bog plants. We will also be keeping our eyes open for migrating birds. The hike is of medium difficulty and you should expect to be walking in muddy areas and shallow water. It is advisable to wear rubber boots, or shoes with neoprene socks. The outing will start at 10:00am.
Meet at the gate situated on Highway 4, just west of Priceville on the south side. We will be al-lowed to park inside the gate, but car-pooling is recommended. To register, and for more details, call Nikki at 369-5121.
