Outing: Winter Nature Walk – Schmidt Lake

January 11, 2020

Event Information:

Winter’s snow hides a great deal of activity, but it can also reveal the movements of small and large creatures whose presence goes undetected by human beings in the other three seasons. It is also possible to identify many trees and plants that protrude their stems and seed-heads above the snow. We will meet at the more southern parking lot off of Schmidt Lake Road at the Schmidt Lake Lookout Trail at 10am, and explore the pathways and forest areas for signs of winter life.
Co-leaders: John Reaume, Angus Inksetter. Call 519-334-9861 or email saugeenfieldnaturalists@yahoo.ca to register and get further details of conditions or parking information that may change based on the weather/road conditions
