Outing: Winter Raptors

March 4, 2017

Event Information:

Saugeen Nature makes an annual tour through Bruce County north of Chesley to see what we can of the spectacular snowy owls, rough-legged hawks, and other birds of winter. Reports from early this winter indicated that few snowy owls were in our area but by later January people were seeing 30-plus on a single outing. We will hope for good numbers still hanging on in March.

Meet at “Big Bruce” north of Chesley at 10:00 a.m., from where we will car-pool. Bring a drink, a snack, binoculars and camera. Contact Angus Inksetter at 519 364-3331 or Jerry Asling at 519 364-2608 to register.
