Kiah Jasper found himself attracted to serious birding at an early age. In his early teens he was involved with the outings organized by the Bruce Birders Club and within a few years was organizing outings for the club himself. Now, just out of his teen years, Kiah keeps a blog on birding, helps with the regular BBC outings, co-ordinates Christmas bird counts, and keeps up with rare bird sightings around the province. In 2022 he decided to see what he could accomplish in a “Big Year” effort, in which he would try to identify as many bird species as possible in a single calendar year within the province of Ontario.
